PanelHarbor Privacy Policy

PanelHarbor is an Android application for reading personal PDF and CBZ files. This policy explains what information the app accesses, what is stored on your device and what is not collected. PanelHarbor follows a local-first approach: your library stays on your device.

PanelHarbor only accesses PDF and CBZ files that you explicitly select or authorize through Android. It does not scan or upload your device storage beyond the files and folders you grant access to.

Selected documents are opened and processed locally on your device in order to display pages, generate covers and keep your position in a book.

• Library metadata such as file references, titles and library organization.
• Cover images and thumbnails generated and cached from your files.
• Reading progress for the documents you open.
• Application settings and preferences.

This information is stored locally in the app's own storage area and is not sent to PanelHarbor-operated servers.

Locally stored information is used solely to provide app functionality: showing your library, rendering documents, resuming reading and applying your settings.

PanelHarbor does not sell or share your documents, library information or reading activity. There is no transfer of your library or reading history to PanelHarbor-operated infrastructure.

PanelHarbor does not require or offer user accounts, sign-in or registration.

PanelHarbor does not use advertising, and it does not use analytics or behavioral tracking systems.

Exports are created only when you explicitly initiate them. Exported files are written to the location you choose, and PanelHarbor does not transmit them anywhere.

Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may independently back up app data. This behavior is controlled by Android and your device configuration, not by PanelHarbor.

Locally stored PanelHarbor data can be removed through applicable in-app functionality, if available, or through Android's application storage settings for the app. Uninstalling the app generally removes app-specific local data, subject to Android and device backup behavior.

Removing PanelHarbor data does not delete your original PDF or CBZ files from your device.

PanelHarbor is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no developer-controlled data collection systems through which such information could be gathered.

PanelHarbor relies on Android platform services, such as the system file picker and storage, to function. Their use is governed by your device and operating system provider's terms and privacy policies. Distribution through an app store is likewise subject to that store's own policies.

This policy may be updated if the app changes. The effective date above indicates the current version.
